One of our corporate philosophies is "coexistence with the natural environment," and we are promoting environmentally friendly corporate activities to realize a society where we live in harmony with nature.
We also recognize that decarbonization and mitigating climate change are important issues in realizing a sustainable society. Therefore, we have established an environmental policy, identified issues to focus on, and will take the lead in solving social issues and pursuing the expansion of business profits, while working with everyone in our supply chain to work toward the realization of a decarbonized society.
Environmental policy
As a company that plays a part in the construction industry, which is expected to have a significant impact on the environment, we have a responsibility to carry out our work with as much consideration for environmental protection as possible.
All employees will promote awareness of environmental protection and technological development (construction methods and management), and will actively engage in environmental protection activities with the following points in mind.
- Aomi Construction Co., Ltd. aims to protect the environment by accurately understanding the impact that its business activities have on the environment and taking measures to the greatest extent possible.
- We will clarify and comply with the requirements of environmental laws, regulations, agreements, and voluntary standards that are relevant to our business activities.
- We will review the environmental protection activities we have implemented and promote continuous improvement in environmental protection.

In promoting environmental conservation activities, we will focus on the following:
(1) Suppression of pollution that affects the local environment
(2) Efficient construction that reduces resource depletion
(3) Construction aimed at reducing waste and recycling
(4) Environmentally friendly research, development and design - We will implement in-house environmental education and public relations activities to improve the awareness and understanding of our environmental policy among all employees. In addition, we will disclose the status of our environmental protection activities to interested parties such as customers and local residents as necessary.

Greenhouse gas emissions reduction targets
We have set the following greenhouse gas reduction targets (fiscal 2030 targets) and aim to be carbon neutral by 2050.
・Scope1+2
42% reduction compared to fiscal 2023（ 3,838t-CO2 → 2,226t-CO2）
・Scope3
25% reduction compared to fiscal 2023（191,645t-CO2 → 143,734t-CO2）

Future reduction policy
・Scope1+2
For Scope 1, we will promote the electrification of vehicles, and for Scope 2, we will promote the introduction of renewable energy sources in an effort to reduce GHG emissions.
・Scope3
For Category 1, we will promote the use of low-carbon building materials, promote the use of recycled materials, and promote the use of fuel-efficient construction machinery, etc., and for Category 5, we will work to reduce industrial waste (promote recycling).
Promoting technological development toward decarbonization
In addition to further expanding labor-saving construction using ICT and developing environmentally friendly construction methods, technologies, and machinery, we will continue to work in cooperation with everyone in the supply chain.
