Overview
Construction work to lay a rubble mound for the foundation of an immersed tube for a connecting road between Busan and Geoje (Approximately 3.3 km) in South Korea.Construction management system using GPS was mounted on a jack-up type tremie barge to enable construction of rubble mound with construction accuracy of ± 40 mm even in deep water (-48 m).

Immersed Caisson Construction Technology
The submerged tunnel construction method is a technology to construct a tunnel, etc., at the bottom of the sea by immersing a submerged Caisson made of concrete, steel plate, etc., as a dry dock or on land.This method has the advantage of reducing the overall length of the tunnel because it is constructed by connecting artificial islands, etc., and can reduce the overburden of the tunnel.
